1. Know How to Style Your Rewards

The most popular reward offers among the top salon campaigns were free items (50%), such as free haircuts and services. The next most popular reward was a dollars-off offer (33%).

2. Know When to Send

The top broadcasts in the salon vertical were sent on Wednesdays (33%). Thursdays and Sundays were the least successful days, with no engagement. Make a Monday fun, with an offer like: “Today is Manicure Monday! Show text for $5 off mani of your choice.” Experiment based on your salon’s schedule to see what days of the week are most engaging for your clients to respond to offers.

3. Know What to Offer

Dollars-off services were the most popular broadcast offer (67%) for salons and barbershops. Think: “Take a short timeout to look your best! Take $2 off a regular cut today!” Percentage-off and BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) tied for the next most popular type of broadcast offer (17% each). Consider: “Show your Love or Treat Yourself with 10% off Spa Packages!”
